  • You may be able to use your HSA or FSA tax-preferred savings account to purchase certain OTC products, including Dulcolax®. The passage of the CARES Act by Congress includes provisions to restore OTC eligibility under tax-preferred HSA and FSA accounts. Plan details vary, so save your receipt and check with your benefits or health provider for eligibility.

  • Dulcolax Suppositories can be used any time of the day. When used as directed you can expect results in 15 to 60 minutes.

  • Adults and children over 12 years old can use 1 Dulcolax® Suppositories a day for up to 7 days. Children 6 to under 12 years of age can use ½ suppository a day. For children under 6 years of age, consult a doctor. If you need to use a laxative for more than 7 days, please stop using and discuss with your doctor.

  • It’s simple. Remove the suppository from the plastic wrapping and insert the suppository, pointed end first, into the rectum. For best results, you should lie down for 15 to 20 minutes and try to retain the suppository for as long as you can. (To retain the suppository means to keep the suppository in the rectum.) They are not intended for oral or vaginal use.

  • No. It doesn’t need to be removed after it has been inserted.
